The questions we get asked most often — answered honestly.
How does the placement test work?
▾
The placement test is an online adaptive test powered by DynEd NEO. It takes about 30 minutes and automatically identifies your current English level — from Pre-A1 to C1. Based on your result, we place you in the right class. The test costs LKR 1,900 and can be taken from any device at any time.
What if my child or I miss a live session?
▾
The daily app learning continues regardless — you can study at any time. For missed live sessions, we recommend attending the next scheduled session. Our coaches are informed via the AI dashboard so they always know where each student is in the programme.
Is the CEFR certificate really recognized internationally?
▾
Yes. The CEFR certificate is issued by DynEd NEO and is aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages — the global standard recognized by universities, employers, and immigration authorities worldwide. Every certificate is verifiable at dyned.com/certverify.
How many students are in each group?
▾
Maximum 15 students per group. This is a firm limit — we don't exceed it. Small groups mean every student gets real speaking time and personal attention from the coach every session.
Can I pay in instalments?
▾
Yes. All programmes offer instalment payment options. SpeakUP Jr and Teen offer 3 instalments. SpeakUP Next and Pro offer 2 instalments. Full payment upfront receives a discount. Contact us on WhatsApp for full payment details.
Which programme is right for me or my child?
▾
The placement test will tell you exactly. But as a general guide — SpeakUP Jr is for children aged 5–11, SpeakUP Teen for school students aged 12–16, SpeakUP Next for post O/L and A/L young adults, and SpeakUP Pro for working professionals. Not sure? Contact us on WhatsApp and we'll help you decide.
Do I need any special equipment or software?
▾
No special equipment needed. You need a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a stable internet connection. The DynEd NEO app is available on iOS and Android. Live sessions are conducted on Zoom or a similar platform — all details are sent after enrolment.
